The fact that @src is missing doesn't mean this <iframe> wasn't used back at the time of publication. Empty <iframe> blocks are usually used by JavaScript embeds, and this page could have contained some script, which later had been removed.

Article authors have intentionally put it for some reason. Simply removing <iframe> to generate pages that were published more than a year ago could potentially lead to generating IV without essential content in newer articles. I doubt this empty <iframe> was used to simply make large useless empty space in the middle of article at the time of publication.

All these pages are about "Austėja Jablonskytė" and all of them contain this empty <iframe> with the same width="420" height="315", that differs from any other page with "embed-responsive" block. It makes me believe that all these articles used this empty <iframe> to display the same video on this "Austėja Jablonskytė" topic, e.g. a broadcast of this event or whatever other content.
