The site editors put the blockquote code in the "href" attribute. And by pure luck, there is a link to the correct tweet in that code, and it can be extracted from there undamaged. By other instance of pure luck, the Twitter script on the site is magically able to do that too.
If IV developers think that IV should extract links this way too, they may add a parsing algorithm.
For the love of God, admins, don't force us to handle _this_.
