Complicated content in this block is not rare. Here, for example, "Agencies -", in my prev issue - "Agencies:", here:
http://tinyurl.com/y2lbkcxf - "Photo: [Photographer name]" after author's name.

Better to transform this block to a footer, because it can contains source info, copyrights and some additional info.

No, I disagree.

Even if you found one recent example, it's still rare. But that's not main point here.

We can transform such author text to footer when we at least display author names in author field. Here all text is inside one element and we can't reliably parse contents of author field, so it's okay to display it as it is.
