I saw a lot of pages on this website and on all pages first <h6> using as Author or Source, and e.g. you can see it in link that you provided.
If you find page where it doesn't using as Author or Source block, I'll agree with you, but not now, and it's reliable way on this site. Again, I tested it case on a lot of pages and you can try found issues =Р

The block that you used for author is not anyhow marked as author.
Basically they could place any text in this section that you used for author.
