you should not use collage

- Why not? On original page these images are contained in gallery that is similar to IV collage.
Although collage is not documented yet, it's the best way to display these images.
Slideshow removes ability to see small thumbnail of photo before opening it, making finding specific image on page quite difficult.
Putting them as it is, on the other hand, floods the page with 54 images.
Also, I tested this template on different devices, collage works perfectly here.

- The gallery must be formatted as a slideshow. <collage> isn't documented feature and it might be risky to use it.
