No, they are not really related.

Please see a 2018 article for example:

This article datepublished year is "2018" but all of the related items are published on "28 and 27 March 2019" (Today and Yesterday).

You can see they are completely different.

Thus it's just a dynamic list of "Latest articles from same category" and certainly should be removed in the IV.
