Template #3 Issue #1

Template #5 Issue #1

dublicate image
Accepted by admin
The cover image is duplicated in the article:

Template #6 Issue #1
Jun 11, 2017
An unsupported item was cut from this page
Robin Maenhaut
I know, I did this on purpose
Declined by admin
It's not the optimal solution, but all content is accessible.
Template #2 Issue #3
Jun 12, 2017
IV not generated
Declined by admin
There is an embed at the end of the page.

The article's text even points to that embed with "Scroll down on it to check it out:"

Removing it would be bad since it's essential content.
Template #7 Issue #1

IV not generated
Vasili S 🆚
This page contains an unsupported element (Sway presentation). "If a part of an article is not available in the Instant View format, an IV page should not be generated."

Template #8 Issue #1
Jun 16, 2017
The original has a textarea with an embed code inside, but the IV parser reads text inside it as an html DOM, and there's no way to get it back.

What I should do?
Accepted by admin
This area should be removed. If you view this article in IV you probably don't want to share it as html embed code.
Template #2 Issue #4
Jun 17, 2017
Incorrect images
Declined by admin
The images are fine. It's a browser issue which has to do with http/https.
Template #6 Issue #2
Jun 17, 2017
Incorrect images
Robin Maenhaut
The src attribute of the image points to a non-existent image. IV pages apparently do support the srcset property.
@Admin: I could fix this, but it would be better if IV pages could support this by default
Declined by admin
This is no issue. Robin did everything right.

The images are fine. It's a browser issue which has to do with http/https.

@Robin, you don't need to fix anything here. IV does support the images - your browser just won't load the images. That's why we included the link as "alt" resource.

This is the browser's console output: http://imgur.com/g2BpHiW

Template #6 Issue #3
Jun 18, 2017
Robin Maenhaut
Once again, this has to do with IV pages not supporting the srcset property and is something that should be fixed on a global scale, not on a template level.

@Admin: You previously replied that it is a http/https issue, however it is more than that. If you try to open the blocked content you will see that it is in fact a 404 page. Like I described above it would be a great addition to IV pages if the srcset property could be used as a default when it is present, however a decision then has to be made on which image to use from the set.

Paragraphs exchanged places. After "the symbol for it in Skype is:" there should be an image of the button you need to press

Should I mark it as unsupported or should I transform it, like Vasili S?
Accepted by admin
This is an issue here.

If you can make it look good, you can transform it.
Template #2 Issue #7

not video
Declined by admin
This embed works fine on devices with IV.
Template #6 Issue #5
Jun 18, 2017
not video
Robin Maenhaut
http content (the vimeo player) gets blocked when loaded over https (this page) because of the mixed content policy browsers have.

There is no video in the original too

Template #12 Issue #1

Something wrong with IV parser of HTML as text().
In my prev issue there was recommendation to remove it.

Perhaps not the deleted code for pasting on a very old page is bad, but the author of the remark deleted it only on one page, for sending comments, on other pages it also remained: https://blogs.skype.com/stories/2011/ 08/01 / travel-savvy-with-skype
So he does not have a photo: https://instantview.telegram.org/contest/blogs.skype.com/template13/issue2/
And there is no video: https://instantview.telegram.org/contest/blogs.skype.com/template13/issue1/
Why should I win a template in which there is no photo and no video, only the code on one page has been deleted. It is not right. If you delete then you need to delete all the templates.
Accepted by admin
Thanks for the heads up. The missing photo and video are not valid issues, since they're both consistent with what the user sees when they open the page.

As for a second infographic displaying instead of the embed code, it is a valid issue.

We could only locate 14 results on the skype blog that present infographics in this format, all of them from 2011.

Newer posts with infographics have a different format and seem to work well in this template (e.g. https://blogs.skype.com/news/2017/07/17/your-guide-to-using-emoticons-at-work/). For this reason, we decided to revert our earlier decision and restore the template to the contest. We apologize for the confusion.
Template #13 Issue #2

Wrong url on the image. Previously the blog was on another hosting. It's certainly the fault of Skype that they did not change the path to the file, however we can easily fix it for IV and the images will be displayed.
Yuri
Yea, I know, but when there is no image in the original, it doesn't have to be in IV

I didn't remove all textareas before. I removed all textareas' div-ancestors. (to remove text also)
In this case, the text is ordered in another paragraph and it can't be detected.

Sure, it would be better, if you could support such a textareas.
