you should not use collage.
<collage> isn't documented feature and it might be risky to use it.

The issue that you referred to has collage where there is a slideshow. In this case, there are just too many images in a row, so collage would be suitable I think. I saw somewhere in the IV chat that this kind of issue was deemed invalid, so I do not think this is a valid issue
