- No, it's not reliable, especially because this image is from another source. For example, we can have a link like this https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Rogozarski_IK-3.jpg. And then your implementation will break. If it was in srcset I'd take it with no problems.

I don't know where you've found that issue but the admin who wrote that reply was kinda wrong. Yes, the article was from 2014. But this is THE ONLY reason why that issue could be rejected. Our job as IV template makers includes extracting better image URLs. It often plays a great role when an image contains text, or some important details, or is just **very low res**. Like this one. The article is fresh. Can you make anything out in the highlighted image? I can't. I bet you can't as well. I would understand it if you put the link into its @href, but you didn't. Shouldn't we provide the best user experience possible?
