Template #1 Issue #1
Feb 5, 2019
The blank line at the beginning of every first paragraph should be removed.
Accepted by admin
Not necessarily that the blank line at start should be removed, but more the parsing of paragraphs in general.
Template #3 Issue #1
Feb 5, 2019
"Join" Link does not work for me.
Declined by admin
The channel link seems correct and matches what the source website lists.
Template #3 Issue #2
Feb 5, 2019
The disclaimer could be important, maybe consider to add it here as well.
chuchu
Well, it's not essential content. But I wanted to preserve it
Declined by admin
The disclaimer does not seem to be essential content, so it could be optional (rather than required).
Template #3 Issue #3
Feb 5, 2019
Consider adding the author-link.
Declined by admin
Author links are optional.
Template #4 Issue #1
Feb 5, 2019
Pullquote
3.3. Supported elements
Pullquotes must be horizontally centered on IV page if pull quotes exist in the source
Samuel
This is sadly not a quote in the source and therefore not identifiable (believe me, I checked everything). It's an h4 and text in general is poorly tagged on dailyhodl.com because every author uses their own preferences for formatting text by abusing html-elements.
This is the reason I left it this way.
Declined by admin
Kindly submit a link to the template that handles this case better
Template #4 Issue #2

Missed images
It is not cover
pullquote

Template #5 Issue #1
Feb 5, 2019
Love your template! "6.2.1 Image quality" of the docs states to not use images below 320px. I think this right here is not a suitable cover image (maybe use the one below).

Template #24 Issue #1
Feb 8, 2019
IV is not generated
Andrew
This issue has nothing to do with me. The custom player embedded in the page unsupported by parser itself, so, according to 2.3, IV must not be generated.

Template #26 Issue #1
Feb 8, 2019
This video is a part of the article
Kirill S
IV doesn't support iframe from that media service
Accepted by admin
If there is an unsupported essential content it must be marked as that so no IV will be generated.
Template #24 Issue #2
Feb 8, 2019
Another iframe from unsupported service, has to be removed
Andrew
It should not be removed, otherwise the logical order of the article would be broken. Strictly speaking, I operate to (2.3) of the checklist: "IV Targets: Must NOT Generate Pages featuring content unsupported in the IV format: Pages with unsupported embedded content that can't be displayed"

Template #24 Issue #3

Template #28 Issue #1
Feb 9, 2019
It is not a normal paragraph.
Andrew
What is this then? It is even <h6> for whatever reason on the original page. So i decided to replace it with <p>. What tag should I use here instead of <p>? It seems to me that there are no appropriate tags that IV supports.

Template #34 Issue #1
Feb 13, 2019
It's a definitely identifiable pull-quote
3.3. Supported elements
Pullquotes must be horizontally centered on IV page if pull quotes exist in the source.
there are also a lot of other pullquotes that your template doesn't cover.
Andrew
That's definitely not a pullquote.
Do they really look similar, mine and this one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pull_quote ?

Moreover, in the site markup this quote is presented as two regular independent paragraphs with <i> tag inside.
There are no guarantees that transforming such block into something else won't ruin some other articles.

Template #36 Issue #1
Feb 14, 2019
Not essential. Image is too small to be <img>. Format or remove
Andrew
I think this is essential part of text, basically this is the info about guest author: "This article by *Brian Sewell* was originally published ...".

Writer decided to include it, so I think I have no rights to exclude it, because this is a unique bit of information, not repeating in the other articles.

This gives an idea to reader who the guest is.
Declined by admin
Since this block can't be identified and safely removed, it's acceptable to leave as it is. Also the Template #37 (by chuchu) doesn't handle the case better. That's how the page looks in the TG client: https://telegra.ph/file/8827569d7a1839b9d7d36.png
Template #36 Issue #2
Feb 14, 2019
This is not a paragraph. It's must be in subscript tag
Andrew
It's just a smaller text, this is not a subscript even based on semantics.
IV doesn't support smaller texts, so I don't know a better way to format it.
And I don't think it is that important to do.
Is is even in <h6> in the original article for some reason...

Not critical
Template #36 Issue #3
Feb 15, 2019
I used to put such images in a cover. Here's the result:
https://instantview.telegram.org/contest/dailyhodl.com/template5/issue1/
Andrew
My template handles that link suggested by you fine, and I think this is just a pretty unique case for this site: just a random small image.

As for your link - in that case like 70% of the screen are occupied by 2 pretty similar logo images.

Moreover (at least in my opinion; I don't claim I don't break the rules here) it doesn't really matter a lot where to put this picture: under or below the title. It has a white background and looks nicely as a cover.

And the last thing, this is more an introductory image for this article, so it wound't ruin the article reading experience.
Declined by admin
1) The image in question has a resolution of 400x400
2) It uses the image exactly below the title

Using this specific image as cover is okay.
Template #35 Issue #4
Feb 15, 2019
Non-clickable image: "In IV 2.0, <img> tags support the optional attribute href to make the image clickable. This should only be used if the link behind the image leads to some different page or content."

Template #36 Issue #4
Feb 17, 2019
It seems the template isn't protected enough from dynamic pages. In this case it tried to generate IV for the main page but did not succeed only because of images inside <aside>. If the site developer changes this <aside> to <div>, for example, the template will generate IV for the main page, that is unacceptable

It's just an ordinary link inside this page, it's not a general footer and writer put this in this article
