In such articles they always put title into <h2 class="article-intro-subtitle">
E.g. here's example of article where only this element is present: http://drugoigorod.ru/pyanogortsy/

It's obviously a title. h1.article-intro-title + h2.article-intro-subtitle

Sometimes they have only subtitle by some design reasons and I use it as a title if more suitable element isn't presented.
