Bold formatting lost (it's visible on original page in browser). It's harder to read player info now.

And I think player photos aren't suitable for covers. They are pretty low quality (there are photos with much worse quality than this) and it's better to not stretch them.

All in all my template presents player information in more readable way, bold formatting isn't lost and player photo not stretched.

Yes, you made a good work for page readability. There are a lot of ways of adding own content to make page looking pretty(in your case it is table which not exists in source page). But the main template function is to represent all essential content on page and my template handles it well. Issue should be critical to decline my template - here is nothing critical
