- There are a lot of subdomains with content and they have different design, so it is a bad idea to make one template for all of them. Otherwise it is possible to report dozens issues.

- This may be true, but the SSD is one of the reasons people actually share EFF links at all.
Looking around the website, there does not seem to be many subdomains with article-like content.
All in all, a template that covers ssd.eff.org is definitely a stronger entry in the contest than one that doesn't.
