- aside is actually a kind of quote, since source doesn't tell you if it is a blockquote or pullquote, it only tell you class="quote-block"(don't confuse this with blockquote, it actually means a piece of text than is a quote) and since visually(vased of many sites than use <aside> to format text like this) it looks like a pullquote I decided to use it. so using aside or blockquote for this cases should be optional.
As a note: all other participants were using aside too
