- I was using slideshow earlier, but then decided not to. The original page on desktop uses a slideshow, but on mobile (or even here if you click ORIGINAL and the popup isn't wider than 700px) it doesn't. And IV will be used on mobile, so I think we have to use the mobile version of the page as a sample.
And it's not a coincidence that they present it so on mobile: such articles are always about the images, that are always at the end, with little text before. It just gives a better UX on mobile images following each other, that's why checklist also says slideshows can't be used if the article uses images/videos/GIFs with captions as the main medium.
In fact I think these articles fall into this category. Though there aren't any captions on this page, it's not the case usually. Check these for example:

Wrapping the main content in a slideshow really makes it worse.
