Image description and outer text are not separated.
This is a /photo/ section with lengthy image descriptions, which indeed means that <slideshow> should not be used. But the article has other text. Without separation it's hard for the reader to tell where the image description ends and the outer text starts. This separation is obvious in the source and should be preserved in IV.
Personally, I think using <figcaption> is a better option in this case, but inserting an <hr> between the final image description and the following text would work too.
