Should be worked. Your current solution for bigger images does not work correctly (as mine too).

You are right, in this example it fails, however I have checked a big number of articles and it works perfectly. So it's just a missing resource, AFAIK there's no way to check if it really exists so we can't get the best resolution image from the data src, should we comprimise the best quality images for just a very few fails (so far i've only seen this one) ?
