The Instant View Editor uses a three-column layout, so you really want to use it on a desktop screen that's wide enough. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi, admins.
I just want to discuss the matter a little.
I feel a huge injustice on myself and other participants now.
It's about φ templates, who leading contest now.
In this my template, absolutely not critical issues were accepted here,
like:
1)missing download links - yes, it is essential content, but i think if it was φ template admins just will close their eyes on it.
2)table of contents - all page content presented, i don't know why anchors are so critical.
3)one linebreak, just one linebreak
And at this moment one of admins continues to kill my templates(please check top 10 templates i will not win contest already)
Ok, does not matter, this my template is not perfect.
But i want to show how your decisions differ depending on the participant.
There is a little instantview contest participants community in telegram. 33 participants, 2 from top10, from the very beginning of the contest(i am also in this community). ...continue in issue#2

Hi Nikita, and thank you for sharing your concerns. We're very sorry to have caused you such distress. We've published an explanation of how we judge the potential severity of different issues to make some things clearer:
https://t.me/IVcontest/19

A few more thoughts:

1. This template was rejected because of three issues: one Grade 4 and two Grade 5. This one with the buttons (G4) would have been enough to reject the template — the other two were added so that this info doesn't get lost, should you like to participate in the next contest and finish this domain off.

2. Re: http://bit.ly/2f6ww4J
This is a Grade 6 issue that happens because one page places several images in a caption tag. We could find no other gallery page on the domain that does this. Compare this with what got your template rejected: 1xG4 (on all pages with buttons) + 2xG5 (in all quotes on all pages + minor issue with anchors in Tables of content). I'm sorry, but this was never a 'one line break' issue.

3. Re: http://bit.ly/2hkx1Zz
We would only accept issues about extracting author names from articles that did not offer any specific markup in the presence of a template that did this well. In this case there turned out to be no such template since and all contestants were misled by our admin's wrong decision. We've restored the status quo before the disturbance.

4. Re: simplywall.st, please note that Template #4 was not rejected because of the alt text. It generated an IV for lists of articles (a Grade 2 issue, very serious). We have created a separate issue for clarity: http://bit.ly/2w3Nzsq

That said, you are correct in that T5i1 shouldn't have been declined (http://bit.ly/2vf8UkQ), it has now been accepted.

5. As you can see, all contestants are indeed on equal grounds — not in the least thanks to the constant monitoring from the rest of the community.

We hope that today's post in the channel explains why some issues are more serious than others and that we will ultimately arrive at a much more clear and transparent system when it's time to launch the next contest to devour half the internet.
