Here they aren't and end up looking horrible (at least on my device, see : https://telegra.ph/Div--hr-04-22).

They're not hard to reliably identify and convert either (see my template) so it's not an excuse.

Such dividers can be in a separate paragraph and in the same paragraph with other content (link below), so I decided not to convert them to avoid potential issues.
