- Cover and image from meta tags is always same for all articles about some game. For example, here is articles about Mario DDR:

http://www.gamekyo.com/newsfr7673_dance-dance-revolution-with-mario.html - everything is the same so this image is less suitable for preview image. In case when no images are in article body my template set image from meta tags. So this is rather issue in your template.

why did you chose the first image from slider to set in description while
1) article image is in meta property="og:image"
2) there is a cover image
