- The link to the gallery page is preserved in the caption of the slideshow.
Moreover I use a slideshow because it's allowed as an option when some photos follow each other in the source. Emanuelo's template removes completely these photos. Check the original article in a web browser.

Those photos are just the previews of the photos displayed in the linked page (they aren't displayed as a slideshow in the original page, and if you click/tap on one of them you won't see a slideshow, instead you will be redirected to the linked page with the real gallery). There are only 4 previews on the original page, while there are 25 photos in the IV slideshow (and 56 photos on the linked page). Their size is lower than the original photos because they are cropped, as they are just previews (you can clearly see that the 3rd photo is completely different from the same photo on the linked page).
Basically this is a slideshow of previews/cropped photos which are not part of the article.
