No. The photo is in the middle of the article. Check the checklist, the cover photo is only neccesary if "There's a suitable image above the title/subtitle or DIRECTLY below the title/subtitle."

The issue refers to the missing thumbnail for link preview, it must be shown if a suitable image or document exists in the source.
