- Cases of formatting through styles on this site are very rare, in the link that you cited first, we can see that bold text is highlighted with a tag, and not through styles. It seems to me a slight loss of formatting from styles on several pages is not critical

IV supports @style_to_attrs
IV supports <s> or <del> or <strike>
IV supports <b> or <strong>
etc.
In this template, not only the strikethrough text is missed, but other styles as well.
