The original post doesn't have this white space blocks. Same story with other pages that have photo-lists.

As you can see I don't have this problem in my template.

On this page the separator (&#8203) is also available. Look at the source code. Most likely it is also used on other pages to separate objects. So I think deleting it would be a bad idea. Even if it needs to be removed, it is not reliable enough, because it is in the same block with the content. Another thing, if it were <p>&#8203</p>. Therefore, I think that this issue cannot be considered valid and is not critical for the template rejection.
