Page is not generated because of source modifications.

- Nope, not because of it. I never modify URLs when these modifications have not proved safe. "?fit=" removal _has_ proved safe, it just resizes an image to fit it on the page. In my experience, it never broke anything.
In this case, source files:

My URL returns the same error. And note that it isn't shown on the webpage either.
Note it's a 2016 article, so no wonder some URLs have broken.
