- Reasons why selected text was not added:
The selected text is placed in the article header and is used as a page description, so this text is placed in the description of the IV link preview, and there is no reason to duplicate it as a subtitle.
Also, visually, this text are separated from the article itself and not looks like a part of article, so there is no reason to repeat page description at the beginning of the article.
And about thumbnail:
Selected thumbnail in most cases is duplicated as the preview image for the link, or in article content in its larger version;
This image is too small to use it as a cover, and also visually separated from the article, so there's no reason to add it to the IV page body
