Not all authors are presented in IV
Lukas
IV don't support several authors with each links
Accepted by admin
If there are multiple authors, the multiple authors need to be shown.

However, author links are optional, so they do not need to be shown if there are multiple authors.

For answer for prev issue:
https://instantview.telegram.org/contest/icij.org/template8/issue1/

1. Projects page must be generated for IV, becouse it looks like periodic news. For example:
https://www.icij.org/project/zhong-guo-chi-jin-rong-jie-mi/jie-kai-zhong-guo-chi-zhi-mi
https://www.icij.org/project/luxembourg-leaks/day-fiscal-paradise-chasing-letterbox-leads-luxembourg

2. Problem with dynamic svg image can resolved by html fallback comment. See img: http://prntscr.com/filf8m

It is obligatory to use a cover image when the article has a cover on the source website (above the title or subtitle). This IV uses the wrong image, first that appears in the article, instead of using the real cover image.
Accepted by admin
Fran is right. The cover image is incorrect.
Template #28 Issue #2
Feb 9, 2019
A cover image is taken from the article and out of context. In this case, there should not be a cover image.
Accepted by admin
The cover image is inappropriate. The reporter's template properly handles this case.
Template #31 Issue #1

should be available
Fran Košec
There is an iframe in the article, usually with additional info that is relevant to the article it's in (supplemental documents, etc.). However, in this case, as it's an older article, the iframe may not work, but it wouldn't be smart to remove it on case by case basis, if it's fixed in the future.

I think "click to explore" means that i will be able to click it
So for <figcaption> with link leave them as links (<a>)
Fran Košec
I believe this is an edge scenario, the image is rendered as a link with the new IV 2.0 img tag href - as it's intended in the original article.

This should not be an IV, since the video iframe/widget can't be parsed and shown.
Declined by admin
It seems the video isn't related to the article. So it's acceptable to remove it
Template #38 Issue #1
Feb 14, 2019
not on original arcticle
Fran Košec
The "Secrecy for Sale" is a part of the website - a kicker. Sometimes it doesn't show in the mobile version of the site, but if you open it on desktop or enlarge the browser window in the IV editor, you'll see it's there - above the title, in h3[class="Article__image__subtitle"]. This is a legitimate article kicker, not a category label or something else, and should be included in the IV - I have not added it manually.

Read more topics
Fran Košec
These are not links to "related articles" - they are tags and as such are not a crucial part of the article/website - they do not need to be included and are stripped from the IV.

This is blog post, and IV also need
Fran Košec
Open this website on desktop (to better see it without looking at the code) - there is an embedded gallery after the 4th paragraph, linked to Getty Images which can't be parsed and shown in IV - so the IV is not generated. You can see it on mobile too, as "Embed from Getty Images" string. It's really rare for this website to embed Getty Images galleries, but if removed, it would omit crucial information from the article, so it's better not to create an IV.

for two author you add one link so it is not correct
Fran Košec
Yes, when there are two authors, the link author_url is set to the first one. This is because IV's author_url can be assigned with only one value. I believe there was a precedent before and was approved by admin to be done like this, so I made it that way as well.

VIT
only 1 link can be set. I think one better than nothing

Since author URL are optional, it's better to not set them at all in this case
Template #41 Issue #1

donate banner must be removed
Fran Košec
It's put only in selected articles with the same theme - about their site. It doesn't appear in regular articles. But I'll remove it in the future.

Template #48 Issue #1
Feb 19, 2019
These are links to other articles, so they are irrelevant for the current article.
Fran Košec
Please read up on the rules.

https://instantview.telegram.org/checklist#6-3-2-related-articles

It is obligatory to format “Related articles” links using the new <related> tag, provided they are identifiable in the source.

These, both in-article "recommended reading" and "read more" at the end of some articles are very related to the article and should not be omitted. You can see in the URL that selected articles are very related to the issue being discussed in the article (/investigations/tissue/).

Template #53 Issue #1

essential link and image are missing look to my template
Fran Košec
Anything that is not essential to the article in question should be removed from the Instant View page.

This is omitted on purpose, because it's a newsletter widget which asks you to subscribe to receive email when they write a new investigation/category, and is not really relevant to the article. It appears on thematically unrelated articles. It provides no additional useable information to the news article.

As for the link "Read more about the impact from our investigations", it's unique to this article, and isn't easily parseable to be added to <related>, nor would it create an IV, so it's better not to be parsed as such.

Everything that is relevant is included in this IV, no less, no more.

this page is dynamic because when this author will write new article your related link will be update so you must not be presnt it
Fran Košec
If the investigations wouldn't have been parsed in <related> tags, then yes, the article itself would be kind of dynamic. However, I've intentionally put them in <related> instead of omitting them. But, please, read the checklist:
Lists of related articles are (relatively) static (a news item may eventually get an extra link to the newest piece on the topic, but this just adds another item to an otherwise static list).

This is exactly it! The investigations to a particular journalist are added every couple of months, sometimes years.

Also:
We will not accept issues on whether or not links formatted as “Related articles” are thematically related enough or static enough.

So, there's that. I believe this is not part of the service pages of the site, and have intentionally created IVs for journalists because it's relevant data and can be parsed properly.
