Template #5 Issue #2

The author installed not quite right. It is possible to obtain a link to a particular author and formating, leaving only the name. In this case: zaonero
Accepted by admin
If the author name is unknown, it's better not to display an author than to show a URL.
Template #6 Issue #1
Jun 13, 2017
Might I ask from where you obtained the author name?

Opening the original webpage's source code and searching for "zaonero" reveals only the following data:

a) The "article:publisher" meta property, but publisher is not author. If you used this property, I believe it's incorrect to do so.
b) The "twitter:site" meta property, which again cannot be used for author.
c) Two social links, one Facebook and one Instagram, none of which are useful.
d) It was hard-coded by the template author, which is always bad.

It is possible to omit the author in cases where no name can be seen by a regular user opening the original article in the browser. It is possible to omit the name when there‘s no identifiable person, only the website’s ‘team’, ‘editors’, etc.

Indeed the author looks very strange. If you find another page where it's more obvious that it's the wrong author, kindly resubmit the issue.

Author is actually "zaone", as mentioned directly in the article's visible content.

Oddly enough, the author isn't shown on mobile resolutions, but on desktop it can be clearly seen. Please open the page in a web browser (or see proof at http://i.imgur.com/vDVHP5g.png ).

What the user sees when viewing the original article in an ordinary browser has priority over invisible meta-information.

This is the wrong author name.

You even mentioned it in your issue: https://instantview.telegram.org/contest/idevice.ro/template6/issue2/
Elian Doran
The author cannot be visibly obtained, as it is not mentioned anywhere on some versions of mobile. The IV only gets the mobile version. The competitor used the article:publisher meta tag, whereas I use the correct article:author meta tag.

Referring to https://instantview.telegram.org/contest/idevice.ro/template6/issue2/ , that was different, because the author "zaonero" was obtained through article:publisher, which isn't correct.

This is a site bug. There is no real author put into the meta tags. No way for the template creator to find out.
Template #7 Issue #2

You left the issue for my template - https://instantview.telegram.org/contest/idevice.ro/template6/issue2/
Where indicated that the in FULL version of site, the author differs from the one that I display,
But we do not work with the full version. We work with the fact that the IV-editor loads,
And there is no author in the visible part of, so that it must be extracted from the meta-information (That's what you do).
Therefore, I hope that the administration would reconsider its decision.

And also, I think that you are displaying author is incorrect.
Yes, the field is called 'article: author', but it always leads to a group site in Facebook,
The actual author is placed in the 'article: publisher' field.

My English is not very good, but I hope you understand what I mean.
Elian Doran
Thanks for reporting.

You are quite right, it seems that the website provides a mobile version of it on some of the pages, in which the author is not displayed.

Firstly, the publisher is *not* the author! The publisher meta is used to describe the entire entity administrating the website, in this case it coincides partially with the writer, but it cannot always be so. Semantically speaking, this is completely incorrect.

Secondly, the author displayed here coincides with the website, meaning that there should be no problem with it being present.

Thirdly, `article:author` does not lead to a group site in Facebook, it leads to the website's official page. Interestingly enough, Facebook marks the page as being "Author": http://i.imgur.com/JRcZi8W.png -- quite fitting for my plead, is it not?

There is no clear way to detect ads like this one. Are you really want to remove it from every single page by unique method?
