The template takes the first image that has class "wp-caption aligncenter" and uses it as cover image.
The reality is that the website doesn't use cover images. In the above given URL, there are multiple images. The website uses "wp-caption aligncenter" only to position images explicitly in the middle, not to indicate a cover image.
This messed up the IV. An image server paragraphs deep got used as cover. There are references to this image in the paragraph above it.

The image has context and must not be used as cover. It should be followed by the text below it, as in the source.
