- I don't understand why we should support quotes here when they're not formatted on the site. I'm turning them into paragraphs on purpose.
This site uses another containers for quotes:

- Your template just converts all <blockquote> into <p> or <span>. How will it distinguish <blockquote> that doesn't look like a quote (like in this case) from a real quote wrapped in <blockquote>?

- No, no, my template converts only those blockquotes that don't have any attributes.

- That's what I'm talking about: the template will convert a real quote wrapped in <blockquote> into <p> or <span> if it has no attributes. Since <blockquote> as a tag is dedicated to quotes, there's a chance the website will use it for real quotes and format them (by CSS) them accordingly.
