The gallery must be formatted as a slideshow. This page doesn't fall under the 6.2.3 EXCEPTION criteria since there's other content, and more than one paragraph in the article.

The presence of text is limited to a few words before the photos.
There is no text of the article after the photos.
In this case the gallery is preferable to the slideshow.
As I understand the rules, the slideshow should only be used in special cases. This is not one of those cases.
