Lots of space is lost due to empty paragraphs not being removed and <hr> being used to highlight block (yet it doesn't really highlight anything, there's <mark> for that)

- 1. We are not required to remove empty paragraphs. They are often inserted by the authors to lighten the reading.
2. Your template uses the <mark> tag to highlight all the lines in a paragraph. Surely it was not what the author wanted to do with that gray box. If you see the original, you will understand that the purpose of the gray boxes is to give rhythm to the reading. So using dividers is the best thing. Furthermore in the app the separators take less vertical space than in the preview.
