- One more time - the "names" that you mention are in the "alt" attributes, and you are the first person to claim that "alt"-s should be parsed as captions, that's a nonsense lol. They should not be when simple captions are present.

The article uses images/videos/GIFs with captions as the main medium (e.g.: travel blogs that show many photos with captions, step-by-step crafting guides, cooking recipes, etc.).
If you want to use a slideshow here, then all signatures should be saved, and in other templates the names of people in the slides captions are missing
