- I'm not sure if it gets updated every 1-2 days, but it seems to be showing mostly articles from the past. I've had several issues rejected (for different domains) where the block formatted as related was showing entries from the future (relatively to the current one), so it is ok in this case, I believe.

but I believe you put wrong section in related articles,
because it updating 1 or 2 a day.
