No, this is different case from slideshows.
Part of rules about slideshows is specifically about slideshows. Other unsupported elements must be processed according to this part of rules: https://instantview.telegram.org/checklist#2-3-pages-featuring-content-unsupported-in-the-iv-format
Following your logic we could leave link instead of every unsupported element since 99% of them have working link.
