The Instant View Editor uses a three-column layout, so you really want to use it on a desktop screen that's wide enough. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Link Preview

Issue #1

The main image is missing. and if you think it is an author image then your image in link preview is invalid
You either have to delete the image in link preview or add the image to the article

The thing is - for the link preview image, I'm using the image from <meta property="og:image">, not the one from the article.

The author of an article picks an image and it's put into <meta>, and I believe it's appropriate to present it as the image in link preview.

Additionally, the image in the link preview provides additional context to regular readers of the site, about who wrote the column, even before they open the article. In the article itself, it's not essential or necessary, as it's not related to its content.

Checklist:
"The link preview must include a photo if a suitable image or document exist in the source."
I don't see a rule that forbids putting an image in link preview, if it's not shown in the IV itself - it's still in the source. The image shown is not generic (logo or a placeholder), and provides some context in link preview.
