- The first image in the article has class "featured-image", this image clearly plays the role of the cover. In my opinion, second image does the same - it is placed right below article's title and it is the same as the first image (which is 100% cover). So, this page has 2 same images, which are covers.
Checklist p. 6.2.2 says, that cover must be set, when:
"The image is present on the page and described in the source as “featured-img”, “cover”, “lead_img”, “main_image”, etc.
The article has a cover on the source website (above the title or subtitle)."
Both is about this case, but also the cover mustn't be set, when:
"The cover image is duplicated in the article."
So in this case I decided to avoid duplicating images and to set cover. I see no point in duplicating 2 cover images, there's no essential meaning in it.
2nd case you mentioned now works differently on my template - IV page has no cover there as it gets duplicated several paragraphs further. Again, see https://instantview.telegram.org/checklist#6-2
