- Your four examples of articles starting with a list is not "plenty". Using first paragraph is ok and I would give examples where meta fails in my appeal if this will be a reason of my templates declining. Why in appeal? Because now I'm chilling after this hell with my phone and it's too hard for me to take my laptop and answer to pointless little issues of angry people kicking d**ks during the Contest and waisting participators time when it ends. Take a bath, drink a glass of good wine, because a little chance to leave me without $90 wont either make you happy or make me sad enough :D

If description in meta has problems on some pages (on which? you haven't provided any example of that description in meta is not suitable) you have to use article text, sure.
But usage of more than one paragraph is needed in that case for description to be meaningful on such articles (which there's plenty of on this site, as you can see)
