A lot of articles on this site contains a rudimentary "-" at the beginning of description, should get removed.

Both <meta name="description"> and <meta property="og:description"> contains dash symbol. So it isn't rudimentary. This is the decision of the site authors to add this symbol to the description. We have to save everything as it is in the original article except errors.

Also we can't just remove all dash symbols in description meta. This symbol may be part of the sentence and everything will be corrupted because of it.
