If you look at this you will see an index of articles. There are article names and underneath there is a this text (which btw is called "review" there).
Most of those are way too long to be just a subtitle and they also are placed where the lead paragraph should be. According to rules there must be a subtitle IF there is one. Also, similar to titles, most of the time subtitles contain only one sentence. In this example you can only see one, but there are A LOT of them where there are two sentences and sometimes even more. Just like that, I went to the homepage and clicked a random article:

Also, if I were judge things only by their class name, I would have to put it as the title, right?
Anyway, I did have it as subtitle before but I hope I convinced you with my logic. I would advise you to change the same, but we all have our own reasoning.

If you open the markup, you can see the "title" label. Also in terms of meaning more suited to the subtitle
