The Instant View Editor uses a three-column layout, so you really want to use it on a desktop screen that's wide enough. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Link Preview

Issue #1

This is actually a link to a particular slide (the 4th). They are shown one by one on the target page, and navigation updates the URL, and not just the fragment part (after the # character).
This information is lost. If someone shares a link to a slide in Telegram, the receiver won't be able to view what had been shared.

It's possible to reproduce the style of navigation and preserve the ability to view a particular slide in IV, when someone shares a slide link in telegram.
My template does it.

When you send a link to an image like this, receiver will see a proper image inside the "Link Preview" section. He doesn't need an IV to view it in this case. But then, if he decides that he wants to see the rest, he can open Instant View and see the rest on a single IV preview, just like he would open it in browser, without need to open a separate IV for each of 29 images in a slideshow in order to view it.

I don't believe that we should downgrade an IV preview for slideshows to an IV preview of a single image, because it would make them pretty useless and inconvenient.

The author is right. It seems the report is outdated and there's almost no difference between the templates now. Although this template preserved publication time which is better.
