Wrong image preview at Link Preview, look at my amazing template

- The image is right, it's already set.
Choosing whatever the first image is bad, it can be several paragraphs into text and be not suitable as a link preview image like in this case in your template:

- It's better to use an image from the article than the site logo as a link preview image. It's not critical if it's several paragraphs deep into the article

- I think if they wanted to use the image they have used it, as they have done in other articles where there is no cover but still link preview image...
