The Instant View Editor uses a three-column layout, so you really want to use it on a desktop screen that's wide enough. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Issue #1

Still using low quality images (297x167) when higher quality is available through srcset. Here's a quote for you:
"When several image resolutions are available and can be extracted reliably, the IV page should use better quality images (within reason). The optimal resolution range is 1280px-2560px, using larger images is pointless."
Anton S.
You are wrong. This is not the case for that rule. Images in the original are formatted as small pics. My template uses the same original quality AND size (183x103). We must not alter the original formatting. The reason for this can be seen if you scroll down to 'Maverick' or 'Clash' operators skills, quality of that images is low and will be awful if used as full-size. It's low because the author knows when writing the article that they will be constrained to small size. And I know other pages where the same happens.
