This article is not suited to use slideshow. It is a "Photo Story" and its main medium are photos.

I don't know where do you see "photo story" here.
I clearly do see slideshow. There's also other content, so there's no need to tear the slideshow apart.

Should be a slideshow, you also fixed it in your newer templates so it's fine to accept here
