IV could be supported, it's a similar case as https://instantview.telegram.org/contest/elsol.com.ar/template21/issue6/, they have this

We can replace <iframe> with <video> in those cases to support IV.

it's not a similar case, because webm is not supported, so whats the point to change an unsupported embed for an unsupported video?, this will not have IV anyway. and who know, probably support for gfycat comes first than support for webm ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
