The Instant View Editor uses a three-column layout, so you really want to use it on a desktop screen that's wide enough. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Issue #2

In the articles, it is not uncommon to format the image and the captions attached to it in the table. Your template converts these images into <pic>. And adds a border to the table.
I think the images should be extracted from the table. Easily identified - a table of two <tr> and two <td> and border=0, in the first <td> one only <img>, in the second <td> only text. See my template.

Like I said in issue #1, it is quote risky to get rid of such tables.
Plus this format seems to be obsolete.

The problem is that the table can't be identified as a table with image. In this case we know both image and caption are related. But what if a table contains an image and a text in similar rows, but they're not related? In that case the template will create a figure with unrelated caption. That seems more critical than image (unclickable in the article as well) and text in the same table like in the source.
