These images link to other articles on the same website and are present in a number of, though not all, articles.
They do not have any special formatting indicating that they are extraneous content. Looks like they were inserted by the article's author. And as such they should not be removed.
(Note that they are not good candidates for a <related> block as well, because they are images rather than a specifically formatted link and are not identifiable)
Those are kind of next and previous articles, and those images has noting to do with article content, so the best way is to delete them
