This site uses very low-res images for all authors pics.
The way you're handling it, it will be stretched to whole screen width on phone and will look super ugly. These images are clearly not intended to be stretched.
Also author image is definitely not main article content (and it's the same on original page), there's no need to stretch it to fullscreen anyway.
It's possible to reliably handle this case better. My template does it.
