Well. To begin with, it looks like a rare case for this site. It’s news site, not a poetry blog

Secondly, in this case IV just ignores main function of <pre> - preserving spaces and line breaks. If IV can’t support blockquote//pre structure - it should be unsupported, like with blockquote//img

To sum up, it’s a rare case where IV handles tags incorrectly. I would be very grateful to get constructive response, if admins accepting this issue
