The Instant View Editor uses a three-column layout, so you really want to use it on a desktop screen that's wide enough. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Your gallery template renders 120x90 thumbnails, there are not enough pixels to fill a finger's size on a Retina display.

A much better solution can be used for determining the real `src` of the file, if you know where to look. Check my template for exemplification.
